Dance Recital
Chelsea had her first ballet recital today. She did such a wonderful job. We had been so concerned with this performance because for six months of her class I was having to sit in the dance room with her. Then all of a sudden, about 3 or 4 weeks ago, she realized that she could do it on her own. Today, she was so excited to go on stage and she wanted to go back on after her part was over! My baby girl is growing up. All along we were in hopes this class would help her with her seperation anxiety and I think it has. Now for preschool in the fall...

Following in my footsteps...
Chelsea has learned a lot since the birth of Nathan, for example, that babies need binky's, that baby brothers need LOTS of love, and babies eat boobs. She has been very inquisitive since the beginning about it and I don't try to hide it because it is a natural part of life. I still have pains of guilt for not being able to breastfeed Chelsea for very long, but I know it was best for her. Nathan on the other hand has always preferred the breast. I have started to hear the question of when we are going to stop. At first, I just wanted to make it to Christmas, then spring break, and now 1 year. So, in August, we will see where we are.

Memorial Day
We spent Memorial Day at the resort of Mimi and Pops (that is what we call it because the pool is resort-like). Chelsea and Nathan loved it.
Nathan was all tuckered out from swimming and the lack of a morning nap. Mimi had the tough job of snuggling with him.

Playtime in the week of the Gongora's
With both Mark and I being teachers, we get to spend lots of quality time together. It is wonderful to play every evening and do everything together. Here are just a few recent pictures of us together.
Chelsea's love sent Brother Bear on a tumble.
