Christmas Part 1

We began Christmas on Christmas Eve by attending church with my family and then eating dinner and opening presents at my Aunt Susannah and Uncle Craig's home. Chelsea was thrilled to get a cowgirl hat and boots. Nathan was into everything at their house. They have everything a boy could want: stairs, two ball pits, Christmas tree, and more toys than Toys R Us.

Christmas Morning at the Gongora's (Part 2)

Christmas Part 2 of 1

Nathan received a new basketball goal from Santa (not pictured), racetrack, and activity cube. He refused to open any presents (see the last picture), but really enjoyed them once they were opened. He loves all the new buttons to push!

Christmas Part 2 of 2

Santa brought Chelsea a new Barbie Escalade. She loves to drive her and Nathan around the street. She received a new Cabbage Patch and Strawberry Shortcake that allows her to fix their hair, but she would prefer to do her own!

Christmas Part 3

After our morning celebration, we went to Mimi and Pops' house where we had brunch and opened presents. Chelsea was super excited to get an Ariel wedding dress and princess musical vanity mirror. Nathan loved for his Aunt Lauren to give him rides on all the new riding toys.

Christmas Part 4

We hosted Mark's parents and sister, Sonia, and her husband, David, the day after Christmas. Chelsea and Nathan really enjoyed the one on one attention, getting more presents, and showing off there new ones. We enjoyed sharing our home and using our new dining room table.

After...

As I am sure you have been waiting, here is our new and improved shower. We are still waiting on our frameless shower door, but we hope it will be here very shortly after the new year.

Christmas Wishes...

I am wishing for all things merry and bright. Yet, I still have two kids that are sick. I think they just have really bad colds. Nathan is on breathing treatments and antibiotics. Both have had fever up to almost 103. I am hoping for a miracle tomorrow or we may be going back to the doctor.

We are still using the kids shower as our shower door is on order and will not be here for about three weeks. I guess that is the trade off for getting the frameless unit. We are, though, in love with our new and improved shower. Once I get pictures taken and uploaded, I will post.

I know these are minor things in comparison to what other people are dealing with, but I just want our normal back. You know, using your own shower, instead of waiting forever to take your shower to make sure you don't wake the kids. And not having to take your children's temperature every half hour to see if they need more medicine (I am a bit anal about it. Nathan knows to lay his head on my shoulder as soon as he sees the ear thermometer :) Sweet boy!)

So, nothing frilly, just normalcy would be nice this year for Christmas.

Before

Due to a lovely leakage issue in our shower our house has been turned upside down in the past week and a half. We have had a construction crew completely rip the shower out down to the studs and start from scratch to build a whole new one. As I am writing this, the crew is suppose to be finishing up. After pictures will soon follow. We are looking forward to a more updated look and nothing builder grade! :)

Snow White Recital

I was lucky enough to find this wonderful dance studio for Chelsea that combines her two favorite things dance and the Disney princesses. Chelsea loved Snow White and looks forward to being Jasmine the next session.
